The Golden Era of Hip-Hop between 1982-1999 was the Golden Age where every track was innovative, and an automatic chart topping hit. This was a time where emcees really competed to be known as the best emcee; not for who made the most money. There was an intense sense of competition and drive in music. This competition was Hip-Hop in its PUREST form. This is what made Hip-Hop GREAT.
Fans of Hip-Hop are devastated that Hip-Hop isn’t what it was during this high period when everything was creative and free. We won’t go on the debate of what changed Hip-Hop, mainstream popularity, or what not. The real supporters of Hip-Hop know that real Hip-Hop , or the Hip-Hop that changed so many of our lives, continues to live in our memories.
